Pakistan registered a comfortable win over Sri Lanka in the third match of the T20I Tri-Series played today (22nd November) at the Rawalpindi International Cricket Stadium.
Sri Lanka skipper Dasun Shanaka won the toss and opted to bat first, making three changes to their playing XI. Debutant Vijayakanth Viyaskanth, along with Kamil Mishara and Janith Liyanage, returned to the side in place of Maheesh Theekshana, Nuwan Thushara and Bhanuka Rajapaksa.

However, Sri Lanka’s struggles with the bat continued as another disappointing performance saw them restricted to just 128 for 7 in their 20 overs. Middle-order batter Janith Liyanage fought hard, top-scoring with an unbeaten 41 off 38 deliveries, hitting 3 fours and a six.
Pakistan’s left-arm spinner Mohammed Nawaz proved to be the biggest threat, bowling a brilliant spell to finish with figures of 3 for 16.
In reply, Pakistan cruised to the target with ease, wrapping up the chase in 15.3 overs with seven wickets in hand. Opening batter Sahibzada Farhan took control of the innings early, smashing a blistering 80 off just 45 balls, studded with 6 fours and 5 sixes, to put the game well beyond Sri Lanka’s reach.
For the visitors, Dushmantha Chameera stood out with the ball, claiming 2 for 29, but it wasn’t enough to stop Pakistan from sealing a dominant victory.
