Sri Lanka got their ACC Men’s U19 Asia Cup 2026 campaign off to a flying start with a comfortable nine-wicket victory over Malaysia in their opening encounter, played today (5th November) at the Al Amerat Grounds in Oman.

Having won the toss, Sri Lankan skipper Viran Chamuditha elected to field first, and his bowlers delivered an outstanding performance to bundle Malaysia out for just 88 runs.

Kaushika Kumarasinghe led the charge with the ball, producing a superb spell to claim 5 wickets for 30 runs and dismantle the Malaysian batting lineup.
