Sri Lanka Cricket Selection Panel has named a 15-member Sri Lanka Under-19 squad to take part in the ICC U19 Men’s Cricket World Cup 2026, which will be jointly hosted by Namibia and Zimbabwe.

Vimath Dinsara of Royal College, Colombo will lead the Sri Lankan contingent while Kavija Gamage of Kingswood College, Kandy will be his deputy.

The tournament will be played from 15th January to 6th February 2026 and will feature the world’s leading emerging cricketing nations. The Sri Lanka Under-19 team is scheduled to depart for Namibia on 1st January 2026 as part of its build-up for the global event.

Sri Lanka will open their World Cup campaign against Japan, with the match scheduled to be played on 17th January. The encounter will mark the team’s first appearance in the tournament as they look to make a strong start.
