Sri Lanka U19s take flight for the Youth World Cup in the West Indies

The 17-member Sri Lanka U19 squad that took part in the ACC U19 Asia Cup in Dubai will leave straight to the West Indies on the 2nd of January 2022, to participate in the ICC U19 World Cup 2022.

The Sri Lankan youth ended a spectacular Asia Cup campaign as the runners-up of the tournament. The same squad has been selected to represent the country in the all-important U19 World Cup, which begins on the 14th of January.

The young lions will compete in group ‘D’ alongside Australia, West Indies, and Scotland, with their first game being against Scotland on the opening day of the tournament.

Their following games against Australia and West Indies will be played on the 17th & 21st of January respectively.
