Sri Lanka Cricket announced the squad that will feature in the Women’s Emerging Teams Asia Cup at the latter part of October.

The tournament, organized by the Asian Cricket Council, is scheduled to be held from the 22nd to the 27th of October, in Colombo and will feature hosts Sri Lanka alongside Bangladesh, Pakistan and Asian heavyweights India.

Although a captain has not been named, it is likely that either Harshitha Samarawickrama or Hasini Perera will lead the hosts. Samarawickrama is currently on tour with the senior team in Australia and has continued to impress with the bat against the World’s top-ranked side. Both Samarawickrama and Perera, alongside Imalka Mendis, Malsha Shehani, Kavisha Dilhari and Tharika Sewwandi have all represented the Sri Lankan national team in the past.
