Sri Lanka Rugby has announced the appointment of three distinguished Trustees, reinforcing its commitment to strengthening governance and promoting the growth of rugby across the nation.
The appointments were made at the Special General Meeting held on the 04th of November 2025. The members were voted unanimously

The newly appointed Trustees are:
- Marshal of the Air Force W. D. M. J. Goonetileke
- Group Captain Nalin De Silva (Retd)
- Mr. Cicero De Fonseca
These appointments mark a significant step towards advice and direct the council to uplift the game in enhancing strategic oversight and fostering transparency within Sri Lanka Rugby. The Trustees will play a crucial role in guiding the organization’s future development, ensuring effective governance, and supporting initiatives to inspire rugby enthusiasts and nurture young talent throughout length and breadth of Sri Lanka.
