Honouring the best of the best, the Dialog Cricket Awards night will take place at the Water’s Edge on the 3rd September 2014 commencing 7.30pm.
A glittering array of awards is on the cards on a night to remember where all echelons of Sri Lanka Cricket will be felicitated. The annual cricket awards will once again recognise and honour around 65 cricketing heroes who will proudly carry away their awards for their efforts. The recipients will be feted in recognition of their exceptional performances in all forms of the game during the cricketing season 2013 / 2014 in the country’s domestic and international, male and female cricket performances”.
The high point of the event will undoubtedly be the announcement of the Dialog Cricketer of the year award and the Dialog People’s Player of the Year award, which is chosen by cricket fans via sms and social media voting.
Awards in both men’s and women’s categories for performances at the international level this year will recognise the Best Batting and Bowling performances in Tests and One Day Internationals, the Best All Round performances in ODI’s, the Emerging Cricketer of the year and Leading Umpires in each panel etc
The awards for performances at the local level will go to club cricketers from the Under 23 and Women’s divisions and performances at the Premier League and Premier League Limited Over Tournaments, Sara League and Donovan Andree tournaments, as well as the Club T20 tournament.
Powering the passion of a nation “Dialog” will come in as sponsor for this prestigious event on the annual cricket calendar for the second consecutive year.
