Sri Lanka Rugby is proud to announce that Sri Lanka has been awarded the hosting rights for the Asia Rugby U19 15-a-side Championship 2026, marking a historic return of elite age-grade international rugby to the island.

This milestone carries deep significance. The last time Sri Lanka hosted this prestigious tournament was in 2000, when a remarkable Junior Tuskers side, led by Jivan Goonathilake, delivered a historic performance to qualify for the World Rugby U-20 Championship in Chile-a defining achievement in Sri Lanka Rugby’s age-grade history.
