Here’s a roundup of the matches which were concluded today in the SLC Tier B Premier League Tournament.

Kaluthara TC vs SLPA

Yohan De Silva’s heroics with the bat and Chamikara Edirisnghe’s heroics with the ball saw SLPA register a convincing victory by an innings and 13 runs over Kaluthara TC at Kurunegala. SLPA resumed play with 301 for 5 and they added 34 runs more before they decided to declare their innings. Yohan De Silva remained unbeaten on 165 runs off 225 balls with 10 boundaries and 6 maximums. Geeth Perera bagged a 5-for for Kaluthara TC.

In reply, Kaluthara were bowled out for just 166 runs thanks to a brilliant bowling effort by Chamikara Edirisinghe. His 2nd innings figures stood at 5 for 34 to go with his 4 wickets in the first innings.

Early on, Kaluthara were bowled out for 156 in their first innings with Chamikara taking 4 wickets and Omesh Wijesiriwardane taking 3 wickets for SLPA.

Panadura SC vs Air Force SC

Air Force could only last 15.4 overs in the day as they were bundled out for just 134 in their second innings which gave an emphatic victory for Panadura by an innings and 49 runs. Air Force resumed play with 61 for 4. Roscoe Thattil was the only successful batsman with 45 runs for the Airmen. Gayan Sirisoma completed yet another 11-wicket haul as he took 4 wickets in the second innings to go with his 7 in the first innings.

Early on, Panadura posted 320 all out with half centuries from Nisal Randika and Madawa Nimesh. In reply, Air Force were bundled out for just 137 with Gayan Sirisoma taking 7 wickets for the boys from Panadura.

Kurunegala YCC vs Police SC

Police registered yet another victory in the league as they beat Kurunegala YCC by 7 wickets at Katunyake. Police resumed play needing just 56 runs with 8 wickets in hand. They reached the target with utmost ease in just 22.5 overs losing only 3 wickets. Akila Lakshan scored 51 which made life easier for the Cops in their chase.

Early on, Kurunegala was bowled out for 109 in their first innings with Suwanjia Mandanayake taking 3 wickets for Police. In reply, Police could only make 148 all out with Thilina Herath taking 8 wickets for the boys from Kurunegala. Kurunegala YCC was bowled out cheaply again for 134 in their second innings which gave a target of 96 to get for Police SC. Kalyana Rathanpriya took 8 wickets in the second innings for the Cops.
