Eleven more matches of the SLC U23 Inter-Club 2-Day Tournament 2026 concluded today (12th July) at several venues across the island, with Chilaw Marians Cricket Club and Kandy Customs Sports Club recording victories while the remaining nine matches ended in draws.
Several batters enjoyed productive outings with five players reaching three figures during the latest round of fixtures. Sehas Ashinsa of United Southern Sports Club, Pawan Sandesh of Burgher Recreation Club, Nethsara Yasmitha and Ranuda Somarathne of Sinhalese Sports Club (SSC), and Dhanuja Induwara of Police Sports Club all scored impressive centuries for their respective teams.

Among the bowlers, BRC’s Tharuksha Ashel delivered the standout performance of the round, claiming a remarkable match haul of 13 wickets for 107 runs against Sri Lanka Navy Sports Club.

The left-arm spinner Dunith Wellalage starred for SSC with a seven-wicket haul, while NCC’s Shakthi Udara also claimed seven wickets to produce another notable bowling performance.
