Sinhalese Sports Club (SSC) and Tamil Union Cricket & Athletic Club secured their places in the final of the SLC Major Club T20 Tournament 2026 after defeating Nondescripts Cricket Club (NCC) and Colombo Cricket Club (CCC), respectively, in the semi-finals worked off today (13th September) in Colombo.
In the first semi-final played at the R. Premadasa Stadium, SSC registered a comfortable victory over NCC, with half-centuries from Nuwanidu Fernando and Kusal Mendis playing a key role in their success.

The SSC bowling attack also delivered a strong performance, with Malsha Fernando and Kavindu Nadeeshan claiming three wickets each to help their side secure a place in the final.
The second semi-final between Tamil Union C & AC and CCC produced a thrilling finish, with the winner eventually decided by a Super Over after both teams finished on an identical 193 runs for 6 wickets in their allotted 20 overs.
Nishan Madushka was the standout performer for CCC, producing a blistering century. Madushka smashed 109 runs off just 65 balls, including 7 fours and 6 sixes, at a strike rate of 167.69.
With the scores tied, the match went into a Super Over to determine the finalist.
CCC were handed the first opportunity to bat in the Super Over but were unable to score, with Binura Fernando producing a sensational effort to claim both wickets without conceding a run.
Tamil Union C & AC needed just one run to secure victory, and Thanuka Dabare finished the contest in emphatic fashion, smashing a six off the fourth ball of the Super Over to seal Tamil Union’s place in the final.
