The final week’s matches of the SLC Major Club 3-Day League 2025/26 Super Eight round concluded today (30th March), bringing an end to an exciting phase of the tournament with Colts Cricket Club emerging as the champions.
In this week’s action, Ace Capital Cricket Club recorded the only outright victory, while the remaining three encounters ended in draws, highlighting the closely contested nature of the competition.
The standout batting performance of the week came from Pavan Rathnayake of Colombo Cricket Club, who produced a magnificent double century against Moors Sports Club, underlining his class with a dominant display at the crease.

Nadeera Balasooriya (Police SC), Kamil Mishara (NCC), Pramod Maduwantha (BRC), Dinesh Chandimal (Colts CC), Sanoj Darshika (Colts CC), Lahiru Udara (NCC), Ravindu Fernando (Bloomfield C & AC), and Ramesh Mendis (Moors SC) all made significant contributions with the bat during the week.
With the ball, Dilum Sudeera (Police SC), Wanuja Sahan (Ace Capital CC), and Mohamed Shiraz (BRC) delivered outstanding performances, each claiming five-wicket hauls to make a strong impact for their respective sides.
With the conclusion of the Super Eight round, Colts Cricket Club secured the championship title, finishing at the top of the points table with 72.765 points from seven matches, capping off a consistent and dominant campaign.
