Moors Sports Club emerged as the only team to record an outright victory as six matches in the fourth week of the SLC Major Club 3-Day League 2025/26 concluded today (29th December), while the remaining encounters ended in draws.
Moors SC produced a dominant performance in their match against Ace Capital Cricket Club at the Colts Grounds, Colombo, registering an emphatic innings victory. Milan Rathnayake was the standout performer of the match, finishing with an excellent match haul of 10 wickets for 55 runs to spearhead Moors SC’s bowling effort.
Despite the majority of games ending without a result, the week featured several outstanding individual performances with the bat and ball across the tournament.

Janith Liyanage of Bloomfield Cricket and Athletic Club delivered one of the finest batting performances of the week, scoring centuries in both innings against Nugegoda Sports and Welfare Club. His consistency at the crease played a crucial role in Bloomfield’s strong showing.
There were several other notable centuries during the week. Lasith Croospulle and Kamindu Mendis impressed for Colombo Cricket Club, while Pramod Maduwantha produced a valuable hundred for Burgher Recreation Club. Vishva Chathuranga struck a brilliant century for Panadura Sports Club, and Mineth Premaratne added another classy hundred for Bloomfield C & AC.
The bowlers also made a significant impact throughout the fourth week. Kavindu Pathiratne of Nondescripts Cricket Club, Mohamed Shiraz of Burgher Recreation Club, Wanuja Sahan of Ace Capital Cricket Club, and Ravindu Fernando of Bloomfield C & AC stood out with impressive five-wicket hauls in their respective matches.
