Sri Lanka Cricket Combined XI recorded a resounding 7 wicket win over Sri Lanka ‘A’ in another Sri Lanka Cricket (SLC) Triangular Series encounter played at Pallekele yesterday.

After being sent in, Sri Lanka ‘A’ made a modest 211 all out with Ashan Priyanjan making a solid half century while Udara Jayasundara & Seekuge Prasanna made it into the thirty’s. Sachithra Serasinghe did most of the damage with the ball taking three top order scalps for just 34. runs.

Chasing a target of 212, the Sri Lanka Cricket Combined team reached the target in the 41st over with skipper Dimuth Karunarathne making a superb century which included 12 fours and a six.

The Rest of Sri Lanka team leads the points table with three more games to go before the May 20 final. Sri Lanka Cricket Combined recorded their first win in the series  with Sri Lanka ‘A’ yet to open their account.
