Isipathana College with a proud history in Sri Lanka schools Rugby, emerged Dialog Schools rugby league runners up and Champions of the Knock out trophy 2024 to end the season in a very high note, College players also represented the Sri Lanka U18 team in Asia Rugby 7s in Malaysia and also proud to announce the only school boy to represent Sri Lanka in the Asian 7s championship in Nepal 2024 was also from Isipathana College.
The team will be initiating “A Try for Tree” project in keeping with our commitment to safeguard the nature for future generation in Sri Lanka.
College Rugby players will be planting a tree each for every try scored during the 2024 school rugby season on 18th October in Galle.
This great initiative is felicitated by our own old boy Group Captain Nalin De Silva, The tree for try project exemplifies the transformative power of sports in driving meaningful change by planting trees for every try scored. The committee plans to continue this great project annually in future.
