The Team in a Nutshell

Team will be led by Praveen Alwis for the 2017 season. Even after the top four senior players hung their boots after the 2016 season, Maris Stella lads still could be the team that could threaten anyone on their day. The team looks evenly poised in talent, height and speed.

Negombo lads prime focus will be on their mid-range jumpers, as they consider it to be their strong suit.   In comparison to the last year, Maris Stella lads have improved in their shooting and are banking on their ability to score from outside the perimeter to secure the wins of the matches

The team has increased their practice sessions as holidays have begun and practice 5 times a week.

The challenge for the team is to continue the practice consistently since a number of players are still recovering from the dengue flu and previous injuries.
