Commenting on the initiative, Manjula Dahanayake, Director / CEO, CBL Food Cluster, said:
“At CBL, we believe that today’s children are tomorrow’s leaders. Through Samaposha’s ‘Dinana Daruwo’ platform, we are committed to nurturing a generation of children who are not only well nourished but also active, confident and equipped with the leadership qualities needed for the future. Sports play a vital role in developing discipline, teamwork, resilience, confidence and character. Our continued partnership with the Provincial School Games reflects our long-term commitment to empowering young Sri Lankans with opportunities to excel both on and off the field. This commitment is further strengthened through ‘Govi Paula,’ CBL Group backward integration programme, which partners with over 28,000 Sri Lankan farming families to source locally grown grains. By supporting local agriculture while providing nutritious products, we create sustainable value for both farming communities and future generations.”
Through its continued investment in grassroots sports and close collaboration with the Provincial Education Departments, Samaposha has created opportunities for thousands of young athletes to discover their potential, compete at the highest provincial level and develop the discipline, resilience, teamwork and confidence that sport inspires.
