Roscoe Thattil 175 lifts Sri Lanka Air Force

Left-handed middle order batsman Roscoe Thattil smashed a career-best 175 for Sri Lanka Air Force SC as they managed to post a mammoth 426 against Kalutara Physical CC in their SLC Premier League ‘Tier B’ Tournament match at Surrey Village Grounds in Maggona.

24-year old former Josephian Captain recorded 22 fours during his mammoth 190-ball 175 and was partnered by Lahiru Sri Lakmal who made 115 off 139 deliveries with 15 fours and 4 sixes as the Airmen reached 426 for 9 before declaring their innings.

Lakmal and Thattil added 226 runs for the 4th wicket while Ruchira Tharinda picked up 4 scalps for the hosts. KPCC in reply were 7 for 1 at stumps on day one

Lankan CC vs Navy SC

Former Peterite duo, Lakshan Rodrigo and Shasheen Fernando propelled Lankan Cricket Club to 364 for 5 at close of play against Navy SC at Moors grounds.

The Sailors won the toss and elected to field first but got only 5 scalps after bowling 90 overs. Opening batsman, Rodrigo clobbered 16 fours and 3 sixes during his 113-ball 133 while left-handed Fernando fell four runs short of a well-deserved ton yet they both added 215 runs for the 2nd wicket.

Kaluatara Town CC vs Police SC

Tharindu Siriwardene and Skipper Sulan Jayawardene made half-centuries as Kalutara Town CC made 238 for 5 in 90 overs on day one against Police SC in Sooriyawewa.

Kurunegala YCC vs SL Ports Authority
