Pakistan opening batter Saud Shakeel and number three batter Omair Yousuf resumed Day 03 on 70 for 1. Shakeel and Yousuf continued piling on runs with ease as Sri Lankan bowlers ran out of ideas to dismiss them.

The first session of the day lasted for 32 overs and the visitors added 92 runs on the board without losing a single wicket. The session after the Lunch break wasn’t a long one as rain interrupted the play for the third time of the match.

Therefore, the umpires had to call the stumps for Day 3 after only 39 overs bowled for the day. Pakistan ‘A’ skipper Shakeel remained unbeaten on 86 runs off 161 balls with 10 fours while his partner at the other end made 78 runs not out off 199 balls with 9 fours.
