The National Cricket Selection Committee has announced a 16-member Sri Lanka squad for the upcoming Test series against New Zealand.
The team is set to be led by their regular captain and experienced batter, Dhananjaya de Silva.

The 32-year old top order batter Oshada Fernando has returned to the side following his impressive performance with the bat against South Africa ‘A’ where he scored 122 & 80 in the first unofficial Test played in Kimberley.
The wicket-keeper batter Nishan Madushka, seamers Kasun Rajitha and Nisala Tharaka who were part of Sri Lanka squad that toured England recently, have faced the axe.

The two-match Test series will be played from 18th to 30th September at Galle International Cricket Stadium.
The Test matches are a part of the ICC World Test Championship Cycle of 2023 – 2025.
