The New Zealand Women’s Cricket team is set to arrive in Sri Lanka on the 23rd of June, for 3-match ODI and T20I series, which will run from 27th June – 12th July.

This will be the first ever Tour of Sri Lanka by a New Zealand women’s side for a bilateral series (the NZ team have travelled to Sri Lanka in the past for the T20 World Cup in 2012) and just the 2nd bilateral tour between the sides – the first being Sri Lanka’s tour of New Zealand back in 2015.

The ODI series is set to be played at the Galle International Cricket Stadium from June 27th – 3rd July, while the 3 T20Is will be played at the P Sara Stadium in Colombo from the 8th – 12th of July. The three ODIs will be part of the ICC Women’s Championship, where Sri Lanka currently sit in 7th position with just 5 points in 9 games, while the Kiwis are on 8 points in 6 games (3rd place).

The two teams have gone head-to-head 10 times in both T20Is and ODIs, with Sri Lanka yet to register a win against New Zealand.
