Team Dambulla registered a convincing win over Team Colombo in the final to clinch the National Super League 4-Day Tournament 2026.
After winning the toss, Team Dambulla skipper Dhananjaya de Silva opted to bat first. However, Dambulla managed to post only 222 runs for 9 wickets before declaring their innings. Middle-order batter Sonal Dinusha top scored with a valuable knock of 51 runs.
Left-arm spinner Prabath Jayasuriya starred with the ball for Team Colombo, claiming 4 wickets for 54 runs to restrict the opposition.

In reply, Team Colombo struggled against the disciplined Dambulla bowling attack and were bowled out for just 146 runs. Tournament’s leading wicket-taker Kavindu Pathirathne once again produced an impressive spell, grabbing 5 wickets for 51 runs. The off-spinner Akila Dananjaya also made a key contribution with three wickets.
With a first-innings lead of 76 runs, Team Dambulla strengthened their position in the match during the second innings by posting another 222 runs. Surprisingly, it was No. 9 batter Akila Dananjaya who top scored with a fighting knock of 53 runs.
Right-arm seamer Chamod Battage was the standout bowler for Team Colombo in the second innings, picking up 4 wickets for 55 runs, while Prabath Jayasuriya continued his fine form with figures of 3 wickets for 16 runs.
Chasing a challenging target of 299 runs for victory, Team Colombo were unable to cope with the pressure and were bundled out for 179 runs. Opening batter Dhananjaya Lakshan showed resistance with a valiant 84 off 105 balls, including 12 boundaries, but lacked support from the other end.
Right-arm seamer Mohamed Shiraz stole the limelight with the ball for Team Dambulla, producing a match-winning four-wicket haul to seal a memorable title triumph for his side.
