The fifth week’s matches of the National Super League 4-Day Tournament 2025 continued for Day 3 at Dambulla and Pallekele.
Team Colombo made a strong response with the bat for their first innings – 341/6 in reply to Team Galle’s first innings total of 435, courtesy of Charith Asalanka’s stunning century.

Asalanka made unbeaten 142 runs off 193 balls with 17 fours and 2 sixes. Avishka Fernando (53) and Dhananjaya Lakshan (60) also contributed with valuable knocks at top of the order.
Team Jaffna continued to dominate their encounter against Team Dambulla at the end of day three at Pallekele International Cricket Stadium.
At stumps on Day 3, Team Dambulla posted 264 runs for 6 wickets for their first innings in reply to Team Jaffna’s first innings total of 418.

Sammu Ashan and Dinura Kalupahana struck fighting half-centuries for Team Dambulla while Isitha Wijesundara and Nimesh Vimukthi impressed with the ball, picking up 2 wickets each for Team Jaffna.
