The first swimming competition of the year, National Age Group Relay Championships 2024 organized by the Sri Lanka Aquatic Sports Union concluded yesterday with girls of Lyceum International School – Wattala winning the overall girls championship with 131 points while Anandians and Josephians shared the joy of joint championship in the boys category with 160 points.
Visakha Vidyalaya became the girl’s runner-up and Lyceum Wattala became the second runner-up in the boys category capturing everyone’s attention.

278 girls and 344 boys relay teams from 47 island-wide schools and clubs battled yesterday in 4*50m Freestyle relay and 4*50 Medley relay events under 6 age categories starting from under 11,13, 15, 17, 20, and open in heats and finals.
The next aquatic event on the calendar is the BIMSTEC YOUTH Water Sports in Delhi, India from the 07th-13th of February 2024.
