Nalin Wickremasinghe elected as President of MCA

A retired banker and now general manager at Mode Group of Companies, Nalin Wickremasinghe was unanimously elected as the 42nd President of the Mercantile Cricket Association at the 104th AGM held on 29th of September 2021.

Wickremasinghe will be the 28th Sri Lankan to be at the helm of the MCA taking over from the outgoing president, Rohana Dissanayake of David Pieris Group of Companies.

The AGM was conducted virtually via the Zoom platform and the executive committee for the period of 2021/2022 were elected during the meeting.

Chairman of last year’s tournament committee, Tarindra Kaluperuma from Stafford Motors Co. was elected as the new secretary of the MCA.
