The Cricket Team of University of Moratuwa in collaboration with the Department of Physical Education of the University is organizing the 3rd edition of “MillenniumIT Mora Sixes 2016, All Island Invitational International University and Institute Six A Side Cricket Tournament”.
MillenniumIT Mora Sixes 2016 Six-a-side Cricket Tournament is an effort to bring university cricketers all around the country together to strengthen the bonds, to uplift the sportsmanship among university students and to host a two day event of entertainment.
Mora Sixes is the biggest hard ball inter-university cricket tournament organized by an university in Sri Lanka. Currently, no other university is organizing a cricket tournament of this magnitude. The tournament will be played in colored attire to add more color to the event. This time we have taken another step forward by making this event an international event. Mora Sixes 2016 will be presented to you with the platinum partnership of Millennium Information Technologies.
Date: 12th & 13th February, 2016
Venue: University Grounds, University of Moratuwa
Time: 8 a.m. onwards
In the last edition of Mora Sixes, the winners were university of Moratuwa-A while SLIIT emerged runners up. Other two semifinalists were Moratuwa-B and Sabaragamuwa University.
This year 20 local university teams plus one team from India (PES University, Bangalore, India) will battle to crown as the champions of MillenniumIT Mora Sixes 2016. Following are the teams;

MillenniumIT Mora Sixes 2016 will be streamed live on Mora Spirit TV on 13th of February.
Apart from the action in the middle, the organizing committee has planned to organize exclusive events for spectators. Winners will walk away with fabulous prizes. Following are the events for spectators;
- Buddy Cricket fiesta (Winning team will be rewarded with Rs.10,000/=)
- Hit the wicket
- Catch a six
- Hit a six
These events are open events. Any spectator can participate in those events.
