Colts CC, Galle CC and CCC have already taken first-innings points in their SLC Premier League Tournament 2015/16 week two matches at the completion of day two on Saturday.

Left-arm spinner Gayan Sirisoma picked up 7 wickets for 51 runs as the heavyweights of Sri Lankan domestic cricket, Nondescript Cricket Club conceded a massive first-innings lead to the newly-promoted Galle CC.

Another left-arm orthodox spinner, Amila Aponso completed a match bag of 10 wickets for Ragama CC but that could not help CCC from taking the first-innings points. CCC skipper Sachith Pathirana excelled with a five-wicket haul and a fighting knock of 80 runs to put his team on course for a famous win.

The 20-year old left-handed wicket-keeper batsman, Minod Bhanuka slammed a fruitful 189-ball 127 including 11 fours and 6 sixes as SSC posted 341 for 9 against Bloomfield. After dismissing the Soldiers for 119, Colts scraped through to a first-innings lead before being bundled out for just 123.

Poor ground conditions did not improve at Braybrooke Place as the game between Moors SC and Saracens SC never got underway after two days. The defending champions, SL Ports Authority was restricted to only 230 by Chilaw Marians CC.
