A Mercantile Netball Knockout tournament is scheduled to take place at the Torrington Sports Ministry Grounds on Saturday 27th of June 2015. The tournament, organized by the Sri Lanka Netball Mercantile Association, is to be conducted under A, B, C, D and mixed divisions. The tournament is open to any company registered under the companies act.
The matches will be worked out on a knockout basis and will be governed as per the IFNA rules as accepted by the Netball Federation of Sri Lanka.
The duration of matches will be as follows:
- D Division = 1st Half 15 minutes – Halftime Break 3 minutes – 2nd Half 15 minutes
- C Division = 1st Half 15 minutes – HalftimeBreak 3 minutes – 2nd Half 15 minutes
- B Division = 1st Half20 minutes -HalftimeBreak 3 minutes – 2nd Half 20 minutes
- Mixed Division = 1st Half 10 minutes – HalftimeBreak 3 minutes – 2nd Half 10 minutes
- A Division = 1st Quarter 15 minutes -Break 3 minutes – 2nd Quarter 15 minutes – Halftime Break 5 minutes – 3rdQuarter 15 minutes -Break 3 minutes – 4th Quarter 15 minutes
Team awards will include the Championship title, Runner up Trophy and 2nd Runner up award, while the following individual awards will be up for grabs:
- Netball Queen
- Best Centre Court Player
- Best Defensive Player
- Best Shooter
- Best Male Player
- Best Upcoming Player
Entries for the event are to be sent in to the Secretary No.58A, AsiriMawatha, Kalubowila, Dehiwela or E-mail on [email protected], on or before 19 June 2015. The main draw for the tournament will be held at the Sampath Bank Head Office on 23rd June 2015 at 5.30pm.
