MAS Holdings handed over the official podium and performance kits for Team Sri Lanka ahead of the Glasgow 2026 Commonwealth Games, which will be held from 23 July to 2 August 2026 in Glasgow, Scotland.

Developed in partnership with the Commonwealth Games Association of Sri Lanka (CGA Sri Lanka), the collection was unveiled and presented to the national contingent at the Team Sri Lanka Press Conference held on 15 July at the Olympic House, Colombo.

The official kits were developed for the national contingent of 42 athletes competing across Athletics, Para Athletics, Boxing, Gymnastics, Swimming, Weightlifting and Judo. Each discipline placed different demands on movement, fit, and comfort; and the performance kits were designed by MAS with these requirements in mind, while maintaining a consistent Sri Lankan identity across the garments.

This year’s design was developed under the theme “Sacred Giants of Sri Lanka,” drawing inspiration from the Sri Lankan elephant and its place in the country’s heritage. For generations, the elephant has represented strength, dignity, and endurance. These qualities closely reflect the journey of Sri Lankan athletes, many who have reached the international stage despite limited resources, high expectations and challenges that often remained unseen. The designs are a reverence to the discipline and determination shown by these athletes and the pride they carry in representing Sri Lanka.

“We are proud to support Team Sri Lanka through our partnership with the NOC for the Commonwealth Games this year,” said Arosh Fernando, Director – Product Innovation at MAS, “This project came to life through the tireless work of MAS’ talented design and innovation teams. The kits are made to meet the performance demands of each sport while reflecting a shared Sri Lankan identity. The design is inspired by the strength and resilience of the elephant which offers a meaningful reference for our national team representing the country on an international stage.”

Commenting further on the partnership, Rajitha Jayasuriya, Director – Corporate Affairs at MAS Holdings said, “Our commitment to Sri Lankan sport goes beyond providing apparel. It is about investing in people, supporting dreams, and helping create opportunities for our athletes to perform with confidence on the world stage.”

As Sri Lanka’s leading sportswear manufacturer, MAS continues to help local athletes compete at their best on the world stage. Over the years, the company has extended its expertise to national teams across several sporting disciplines, supporting athletes as they prepare for major international competitions.
