Maliban Biscuits ‘A’ emerged as the champions of the 32nd Singer-MCA Super Premier League 2025, defeating Hayleys ‘A’ in a closely contested final played today (30th October) at the CCC Grounds, Colombo.
After winning the toss, Hayleys ‘A’ opted to bat first and posted a competitive total of 235 runs. The opening pair of Ron Chandraguptha and Nishan Madushka set a solid foundation, contributing 55 and 40 runs respectively. However, the middle order couldn’t fully capitalize on the start, as Maliban’s bowlers maintained tight control through the middle overs.

The standout performer with the ball was Dushan Hemantha, who spun his web effectively to claim 3 wickets for 45 runs, putting the brakes on Hayleys’ scoring momentum.
In reply, Maliban Biscuits ‘A’ showcased composure and depth in their batting lineup, successfully chasing down the target in 46.1 overs with three wickets in hand. Skipper Milinda Siriwardane and Dhananjaya Lakshan led the charge in the run chase, both scoring 41 runs to guide their side to a memorable victory.
