Army Cricket Club and Negombo Cricket Club register wins in their respective encounters against Kurunegala Youth Cricket Club and Air Force Sports Club in the SLC Major Club Limited Over Tournament worked off today.
Army CC trounced Kurunegala YCC by 7 wickets as the soldiers displayed a dominating collective bowling effort.

The encounter between Negombo CC and Air Force SC witnessed a close battle as the low-scoring encounter were won by the lads from Negombo by a margin of 11 runs at the end.
Negombo batter Madawa Warnapura (35) and left- arm spinner Upul Indrasiri were the chief architects of their victory. With this win, Negombo CC placed at 6th place in Group A with 6 points, while Army CC top the points table of Group A with 10 points.

The encounters between Bloomfield Cricket Club and Badureliya Cricket Club, Moors Sports Club and Navy Sports Club, and Police Sports Club and Galle Cricket Club were ended in no results as rain washed out them.
