Mahiyangana National College registered a comfortable win over Girandurukotte Central College to clinch the 2nd Battle of Lankapura played today at Mahiyanganaya Public Grounds.

After being asked to bat first, Mahiyangana National College found it difficult to build momentum and were restricted to a modest total of 128 runs. Kaveesha Gimhan stood out with a patient knock of 41 runs off 76 deliveries, anchoring the innings amidst regular setbacks.

Girandurukotte Central College impressed with the ball, led by Sadew Sathsara, who delivered a fine spell to claim 4 wickets for 38 runs. He was well supported by Methun Suwahas, who chipped in with 3 wickets, keeping the opposition under pressure throughout the innings.

However, the chase proved to be a daunting task for Girandurukotte Central College as they struggled against a disciplined bowling attack. They were bowled out for just 59 runs, falling well short of the target.
