Sri Lanka’s superstar fast bowler, Lasith Malinga, has been named as the fast-bowling consultant of the Sri Lankan team for their upcoming tour to Australia.
The veteran fast bowler is currently residing in Australia and will join the team upon their arrival.

Malinga, who retired from international cricket in September last year, is a renowned fast bowler in the shortest format of the game, picking up 107 wickets in 84 T20Is for Sri Lanka.
With a relatively young team taking flight to Australia, the wealth of experience the former speedster brings into the coaching setup will be invaluable.

He has previously acted in the capacity of a consultant with the Mumbai Indians franchise in the IPL.
