Day two of the inaugural edition of Lanka T10 Super League was interrupted by rain as two of the scheduled games were called off due to bad weather. Fortunately, the game between the Jaffna Titans and Colombo Jaguars was able to be played as the skies cleared up.
The Jaffna Titans, coming off a win in their first game, were riding high on confidence and took matters in to hand as they off to a flyer with the bat in hand. Even though they lost Tom Kohler-Cadmore the first over itself. Kusal Menids combined with Charith Asalanka to make the most out of the powerpaly. Mendis hammered a quickfire 37 off 19 which included six boundaries in it.

Asalanka on the other hand went all the way to score a half century continuing his good form. Asalanka Scored a 24 ball 56 with five 4s and five 6s included in it. The Titans ended with a rather competitive score 138 in their 10 overs. Jaguars skipper Angelo Mathews and American International Ali Khan picked up two wickets apiece for the Jaguars.

Colombo Jaguars didn’t have the best of starts to their innings as they lost Jason Roy very cheaply. Youngster Travin Mathew coming back off with a 4-wicket haul in the opening game was the standout yet again for Jaffna Titans with the ball. Mathew picked up 3 crucial wickets, ensuring the Jaguars didn’t gain any momentum in their innings.
England international Dan Lawrence top scored for the Jaguars with 28 and none of the other couldnt go pass the 20 run mark for the Jaguars.
