Lalith Athulathmudali, Mt. Lavinia to meet Dhammissara NS, Naththandiya in U19 Division 3 Tier ‘B’ Final

Unbeaten Lalith Athulathmudali College, Mt. Lavinia from Western Province will meet unbeaten Dhammissara National School Naththandiya from North Western Province in the final of the Under 19 Division 3 Tier ‘B’ Inter Schools limited overs Cricket tournament tomorrow (19th January) at Wesley College Ground (Campbell park), Colombo.

191 teams from the whole island participated into 42 groups and played league. Champions and runner up 84 teams from the first round advanced to the final round. This tournament is conducted by Sri Lanka Schools Cricket Association with sponsor Sri Lanka Cricket.

Lalith Athulathmudali College Mt. Lavinia beat Science College Mt. Lavinia, Dharmaraja Maha Vidayalaya Mampe and Ananda Vidyalaya Kottawa in the first round. Dhammissara National School Naththandiya beat Bandaranayakepura Maha Vidyalaya in the first round.

Other two matches were not played in the first round. Lalith Athulathmudali College Mt. Lavinia advanced to the final round as group champion in their group in the first round. Dhammissara National School Naththandiya advanced to the final round as runner up of their group in the first round.

Lalith Athulathmudali College Mt. Lavinia beat Malabe Boys College and Kadawatha Central College in the final round fixtures. Dhammissara National School Naththandiya beat Tharmapuram Maha Vidyalaya Kilinochchi, Sir Wiliam Gopallawa Maha Vidayalaya Gokarella and Hartley College Point Pedro in the final round fixtures.

Lalith Athulathmudali College Mt. Lavinia beat Basilica College Ragama in the pre quarter final. They beat Saralankara Maha Vidyalaya Gonapinuwala in the quarter final. Lalith Athulathmudali College Mt. Lavinia beat Kekirawa Central College in the semi final.

Dhammissara National School Naththandiya beat Amarasooriya MMV Meepawala in the pre quarter final. Dhammissara National School Naththandiya beat Mahanam National School Monaragala in the quarter final. Dhammissara National School Naththandiya beat Poramadulla Central College in the semi final.

Dushan Silva will lead Lalith Athulathmudali College Mt. Lavinia while Ranuka Shavinda will lead Dhammissara National School Naththandiya.
