Kusal Perera available for the second T20I against South Africa

Sri Lanka wicket-keeper batsman Kusal Perera will be available for the second T20I against South Africa as he managed to pass a fitness test following his recovery from Covid-19.

Perera who has been building up his fitness levels after recovering from Covid-19 will be available for the remainder of the T20I series against the visiting South African side as medical authorities have cleared him to play following a fitness test held today (11th).

The left-hander suffered a shoulder injury during Sri Lanka’s tour of England which ruled him out of the India series held in July.

Perera couldn’t also participate in the recently concluded Dialog-SLC InvitationalT20 League. Though he was set to join the national team for the South Africa series after recovering from the shoulder injury, he contracted Covid-19 on the 15th of August.
