Asian International School vs Gateway College, Kandy (Girls)

Even though the boys from AIS tasted sweet victory, their female counterparts were drowned in defeat.

The ladies from Kandy started off the game scoring five points in the first ten minutes. The pressure was right back on the AIS girls as they managed only two points. The Gateway lasses were rebounding well and connecting shots in a more consistent manner which was why they were on top of the game.

AIS bounced back in the next quarter scoring eight points. They led the game by two points at halftime and went to the half time break with the pressure easing just a bit. The girls from Gateway scored four points in the second quarter.

AIS, coming into the second half with a lead, made crucial errors in ball handling and passing. Even though they were unforced it did affect the final result of the match. AIS scored three points in the quarter which was where the Kandy lasses capitalized on changing the destiny of the game. They added up another six points to the total while they scored ten points in the final quarter.

The ten points scored during the final quarter transferred the pressure right back onto the Asian International girls, which made both their offense and defense shaky.
