The master in charge of Dharmaraja College, Mr Alexander responding to ThePapare’s queries on the called off Science College Mt Lavinia v Dharmaraja College Kandy match, stated they were willing to play and requested Science College to protest after.

However, as the match commissioner refused to allow them to play the match with the said 3 players included in the team, Dharmaraja took the stand to leave the grounds.

In our article we quoted Mr Nazeem Mohamed of Science having stated that they were willing play under protest.

Furthermore, Mr. Alexander stated that all three boys did play against St. Peters in the previous week and that the match commissioner did not have an issue with this and nor did the St Peter’s officials.

Sri Lanka Schools Rugby Football Association’s letter received by Dharmaraja College on February 28th 2014, clearly mentions that there cannot be changes on the registered forty (40) names and that the SLSRFA would set the date for the second registration prior to the second round.

In addition Mr Susantha Mendis from SLSRFA reiterated that an enquiry will be held on the 20th May 2014, after which a decision will be made.
