Kedar Jadhav has been ruled out of the three-match One-Day International series against Sri Lanka due to a hamstring injury, it was confirmed on Saturday (December 9). Washington Sundar, the Tamil Nadu allrounder, has been called in as replacement.

Jadhav had been doing rehabilitation work at the National Cricket Academy in Bangalore ahead of the series and was to be monitored on Saturday, as per captain Rohit Sharma. The middle-order batsman failed to fully recover from the injury.
Jadhav’s replacement, Washington, has been in exceptional form since the Indian Premier League earlier this year and was rewarded with a place in the India T20I side that’ll take on Sri Lanka after the ODI series.
