Leg-spinning all-rounder Wanindu Hasaranga became the most expensive Sri Lankan buy in IPL auction history, sold to the Royal Challengers Bangalore for 10.75 crore (INR).

Hasaranga joined RCB for the 2nd part of the IPL last season but will be hoping to get a full season in this time around. According to the schedule released by Sri Lanka Cricket earlier this year, Sri Lanka are not set to have any limited overs fixtures during the IPL, which is scheduled to be played from the 2nd of April to the 3rd of June 2022.

In total, 23 Sri Lankan players were picked for the auction, with Dushmantha Chameera and Maheesh Theekshana set to go under the hammer tomorrow.
