Sarangi de Silva of Sri Lanka Army stole the show on the 3rd and final day of the Asian & Asian Junior Championship Trials, establishing a new National Record in the Women’s Long Jump.
The National champion surpassed her own record mark of 6.44m with her 1st jump, measured at 6.53m. She then bettered the performance with a leap of 6.65m later in the day to take first place in the competition.

The trials came to an end today after 3 days of action which saw two national records and 1 junior national record established.
The Asian Games are set to take place Hangzhou, China in September, while the Asian Youth Games will be in Shantou, China in December 2022.
