Mahinda College hosted Mahanama College today at Mahinda College ground in their under 19 school fixture.
Mahinda College won the toss and elected to bat first on a true batting surface but only managed to get 201 runs in 67 overs. Chalana De Silva top scored with a fluent 61 runs and Indeera Gallage chipped in with 35 valuable runs. Gihan Sanjeewa and Praneeth Satharasinghe took 3 wickets each for the visitors.
Mahanama College in their 1st innings were 86 runs for the loss of 4 wickets at stumps. Chalana De Silva excelled with the ball by taking 3 mahanama wickets for just 8 runs. Pawan Devinda and Gihan Sanjeewa Scored 28 & 24 runs respectively. The match will be continued tomorrow.
