The Western Province Netball Association will conduct the ‘EVA’ All Island (Open) Netball Tournament 2018 on the 30th June and 1st of July at the Air Force grounds, Slave Island, Colombo 2.
The tournament is open to all clubs, Mercantile firms, government institutions, Banks, Universities and both local and international schools affiliated to their respective Associations. The tournament will be sponsored by International Cosmetics PVT Limited.

Air Force SC won the tournament last time around while Navy SC came in second. A total 120 teams participated in the tournament which concluded successfully. United Sports Club emerged champions in the Men’s category from a total of 10 teams that participated in the tournament.
The tournament will be played across four divisions respectively;
- ‘A’ Division (Men’s and Women’s Open)
- ‘B’ Division (Women’s Open)
- Schools’ Division – U15, U17 and U19
- Veterans’ Division (Over 40 women)
Only 12 players and 3 officials can be registered per team and no player can play in more than one team.
“It was 25 years ago that EVA started sponsoring the Western Province Netball tournament, as a brand that promotes female sports and netball is a good opportunity to do that. We have been a part of this tournament for 25 years and we want to be a part of it for another 250 years,” – Shiranaaz Kaney Director of Marketing International Cosmetics PVT Limited added.
All registration entries close on the 20th of June and the draw will be held on the 22nd of June at the Sports Schools, Independence Avenue, Colombo 7 at 5.00pm. The entry forms can be collected from the either the tournament secretary Ms. Shervone Perera or Ms. Rio Ramlan.
