The 1991 Rugby World Cup winner was set to arrive in the country ahead of Sri Lanka’s preparations for the Asia Rugby Division I tournament. He was also set to conduct training camps in Kandy and Colombo for both coaches and players.

“We had to postpone the tour because of the situation in the country and with the schools’ rugby also postponed, it is of best interest that the tour does not happen” a top official from Sri Lanka Rugby briefed ThePapare on the situation.

Campese was set to be guest of honour at the Royal College vs St. Joseph’s College game on 4th May. The game too has been postponed indefinitely by the Ministry of Education along with the rest of the Singer Schools Rugby League.
