The organization has been performing this great act of charity annually since 2017. With the 12 schools added to the list this year, Ceylon Cricket Foundation has uplifted cricketing dreams of students from 64 schools in Sri Lanka over this period. Even former English Women’s cricketer Laura Marsh extended donations this year.

Unfulfilled cricketing dreams

The establishment was founded and run by a former Sri Lankan First-Class cricketer, Tharindu Perera, who is now a high-performance coach at Warwickshire County Cricket Club in the UK.

“The Foundation’s ethos is to raise money to go to grassroots Cricket in Sri Lanka so the children receive some basic Cricket equipment to enable them to gain more skill and knowledge, which will enhance their passion for the sport of cricket,” states the Facebook page of the Foundation.
