Two years ago, we all felt the same pain, the same loss and disbelief. Most of us were in tears because we lost what was ours.
And that pain lit a fire in each of our hearts, a fire that kept burning higher and higher through the years and is now roaring to win back what is rightfully ours. We know it won’t be easy but the real accomplishments and truly great things in life never are.
For 135 years, brothers just like you have played their hearts out for your alma mater. What we ask from you boys and what your duty is to do your best for her, give her your sweat, your blood, your dedication, your strength, your talent as you have so far this season. We trust you boys and are proud of you. You hold our fire and our loss in your hearts and the 11 of you – you represent each and every one of us.
For those 3 days play like you’ve never played before, don’t lose sight of what you are playing for, you have a chance to make history, play for the 10 other brothers who will take the field with you, play for each and every one of us, play for your alma mater. Never give up, fight each and every day, every session, every ball and every second.
