Black Knight; grooming partners for Sri Lanka Cricket

Black Knight is to be the official personal care partner for Sri Lanka cricket. A media gathering was called today at the NCC grounds to brief the media on this latest sponsorship of Sri Lanka Cricket.

Black Knight, a popular Sri Lankan product produced and manufactured by International Cosmetics Private Ltd., a partner of the Capital Maharaja group joined hands today with Sri Lanka Cricket as the Official personal care partner in the Grooming category for Sri Lanka Cricket. Present among the distinguished guest at the head table were; Mr. Chamara Lokupothagama, Director Marketing, International Cosmetics (Pvt) Ltd., Mr. Kirubha Kmarasingham, Group Director, International Cosmetics (Pvt) Ltd., Mr.  Mohan Bharara, Group Director/ CEO Capital Maharaja Organization Ltd., Mr. Nishantha Ranathunga, Secretary SLC, Mr. Vajira Dissanayake, Head of Marketing and Communications SLC.

First to address the gathering was Mr. Mohan Bharara the Group Director/ CEO of Capital Maharaja group who welcomed the gathering and thanked SLC for giving them the opportunity to come forward as partners and went on to say “we hope to increase the appeal of Black Knight through the sport which everyone loves and follows”. He also didn’t forget to wish the Sri Lankan team all the very best for their world cup campaign and said “we hope to see the second world cup win”.

The Secretary of SLC, Mr. Nishantha Ranathunga thanked Capital Maharaja for coming forward for this sponsorship and said “the Maharaja group has helped SLC at all levels” and went on to say that Black Knight will be the official sponsor of the Sri Lanka U19 team as well and finally added that “we look forward to a good healthy partnership in years to come”

Wishes and appreciations came all the way from Australia and New Zealand as Sri Lankan skipper Angelo Mathews had sent through a video thanking Black Knight said “Sri Lanka Cricket is delighted to have on board Black Knight and we look forward to this partnership”.

The main aim of this partnership as explained by Mr. Nishantha Ranathunga later on was to increase funds to develop the game in the country. Also he added that “this is not only about the financial support but, the grooming partnership looks to groom the players and their personalities. That will be the ultimate goal of this partnership”. 

A this moment of time there is however just one hope in the minds of any Sri Lankan, for Sri Lanka to win the world cup and we pray no matter what partnership comes their way, they win that coveted trophy.
