Bangladesh ‘A’ sealed a convincing win over Sri Lanka ‘A’ in the 1st Women’s T20 of the five-match series played today (12th September) at P. Sara Oval Cricket Stadium in Colombo.
After been put into bat first, the hosts posted 112 runs for 7 wickets in the allotted 20 overs with the opening batter Kaushini Nuthyangana top scoring with a knock of 43 runs off 35 balls with 4 fours and a six.

Fahima Khatun was the pick of the bowlers for Bangladesh as she grabbed 3 wickets for 12 runs in her 3-over spell.
The wicket-keeper batter Shamima Sultan led the charge with the bat in the run-chase as Bangladesh reached the target with ease losing only 3 wickets.

Sultan scored 48 runs off 44 balls with 5 fours and a six. Malsha Shehani impressed with the ball for Sri Lanka scalping 2 wickets for 22 runs.
