Bangladesh U19 registered a 146-run win over Sri Lanka U19 in the fourth match of the six-match Youth ODI series played today (3rd May) at CCC Grounds, Colombo. With this win, the visitors managed to take series lead, 3-1.
After winning the toss, the visitors posted a mammoth score – 336/8 on the board in the allotted 50 overs. The opening batter Zawad Abrar notched up a brilliant century while Rizan Hossain contributed with a valuable knock of 82 runs.
Rasith Nimsara picked up a three-fer while Tharusha Navodya snared 2 wickets for Sri Lanka U19s.
In reply, the hosts managed to post only 190 runs despite the skipper Vimath Dinsara producing a fighting half-century. Al Fahad was the pick of the bowlers for Bangladesh as he grabbed 3 wickets for 41 runs.
