Shamaaz and Pavan Rathnayake steadied the innings, adding 60-run partnership for the 2nd wicket before the latter was stumped for 19 runs in the 14th over.

In their turn with the ball, Sri Lanka dominated displaying a brilliant collective bowling performance.

The new-ball bowling pair Chamika Gunasekara and Eshan Malinga worked to begin the visitors’ collapse, knocking over their opening batting pair for just 16 runs inside first 5 overs.
